The South African Communist Party congratulates Fidel


SOUTH AFRICA, August 13TH, 2010.-
The South African Communist Party, sent to Comrade Fidel a congratulatory message on the occasion of his 84 birthday. The message highlight the figure of the Comander in Chief as an inspiration to the progressives people all over the world that is still fighting for justice, peace, equality and socialism.

The text of the message read as follows:

The SACP expresses its best wishes to the Comandante Fidel Castro Ruz, the General-Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) on the occasion of his 84th birthday.

Born Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz on August 13, 1926, near Birán in Cuba's eastern Oriente province. As a youth, he was intellectually gifted also participated in sports. He attended El Colegio de Belen and pitched for the school's baseball team. After his graduation in late 1945, Castro entered law school at the University of Havana and became immersed in the political climate of Cuban nationalism, anti-imperialism, and socialism.

Cuba and the Cuban Revolution, as espoused and personified in Comandante Fidel, continues to be a inspiration to many progressives the world-over - those fighting for justice, peace, equality and for socialism!

These are 84 years of commitment to the course of socialism as well dedication to the course of the poor, the marginalized and the downtrodden of the world!

The SACP extends best wishes for health and wellbeing of Comandante Fidel Castro on the occasion of his 84th birthday!
