Russian Friendship Society Congratulates Fidel on his Birthday RUSSIA, August 17th, 2010.- The Society of Friends of Cuba in the Russian city of Sayangorsk congratulated the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on his 84th birthday, organizers reported. The event was attended by several members of the Fidel Castro Brigade, who built the Siberian Sushensk Sayana hydroelectric plant, the largest in the country, Alex Grek, the president of that company, told Prensa Latina. Grek also recalled that last July 26 the youth of the Society of Friends of Cuba climbed the peak Moncada on top of Borus, where they arrived with flags of Cuba and Moncada, to recall the 1953 revolutionary epic, directed by Fidel. Grek said members of that organization systematically read the reflections of the Commander in Chief, which he said, offered an accurate assessment of the facts in the world.(Cubaminrex – Granma)
