CUBA, August 9TH, 2010.- The Bolivian and Russian media echoed Monday Fidel Castro’s appeal to avoid a nuclear war, according to the Prensa Latina news agency.

The Cuban Revolution leader made this call at a special session of the Cuban Parliament, held over the weekend in Havana.

Bolivia’s local Cambio news daily devotes its front page Monday to Fidel’s address to the National Assembly of People’s Power, in which he warned about the consequences of a nuclear war, and called on U.S. President Barack Obama to prevent it.

Meanwhile in Moscow, local Komsomolskaya Prafda newspaper, the largest circulation in Russia, echoed Fidel Castro’s words.

Also, the Vremya Novostei business socio-political daily quoted the Cuban Revolution leader while referring to the impending danger of war if U.S. or Israeli troops decide to inspect Iranian commercial vessels.

Other important media outlets in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and the Dominican Republic focused on the message conveyed by the Cuban revolutionary leader. (Cubaminrex - RHC)
