UN Human Rights Council Groups Work
GENEVA, April 10, 2007.- The UN Human Rights Council (HRC) has organized special commissions to finish institutional construction of that institution, which renewed deliberations on Tuesday.
The four groups have the responsibility of fulfilling the UN General Assembly s mandate that set June 18 as a deadline for that process.
Definitions on ways and methods of work, as well as principles to rule the analysis of the human rights situation on any part of the planet are an extremely important matter for the life of the new organization.
That was highlighted by delegations of many of the 47 country members that attended the 4th Sessions debates,.
In the Top Level meetings held in this Swiss city as of April 12, Cuba s Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque denounced some attempts to hinder and frustrate that process.
At that time, Perez Roque mentioned the US maneuvers and its allies against the newly-formed organization. (Cubaminrex-PL)
