Dignity vs Lies

CUBA. April 13th, 2010. - In the People’s Council of Peñalver, in the municipality of Bacuranao in Havana City, neighbours went onto the streets to celebrate on occasion of a chequeo de emulación (a competition between schools, workplaces, and municipalities to evaluate their performance regarding certain parameters). Many CDR members, families and CDR zones feted their devotion towards the CDR (Neighborhood committees called Committee for the Defense of the Revolution) and the Cuban Revolution.

During the meeting, the citizens demonstrated their opposition towards the unjust media campaign being carried out against our nation. The position adopted by the European Union and the United States was strongly condemned.

"Speak, at least once, the truth about Cuba," said the CDR member Vicente Rodriguez. "They will never have moral nor reason to accuse us."

National Coordinator of the CDR Juan José Rabilero and Provincial Coordinator of the CDR Leonardo Tracter attended the meeting. Rabilero summoned the people present there to attend the coming elections and the May Day parade. (Cubaminrex – Granma Daily)
