Spanish Singer Joaquín Sabina Will Not Sign Anti-Cuba Document

CUBA, Apr 13, 2010. -  Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquin Sabina said he will not sign any document against Cuba as he spoke during a press conference in Mexico where he is on a promotional tour for his latest album Vinagre y Rosas (Vinegar and Roses).

“I will not sign any letter,” he said in reference to a declaration recently signed by Spanish intellectuals condemning alleged human rights violations in Cuba.

Sabina strongly criticized the US Naval Base and prison camp in Guantanamo and the almost-50-year-old economic blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
The Mexican promotional tour includes the cities of Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Monterrey, Zacatecas, Merida and Puebla.

Sabina will later visit Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Ecuador. (Cubaminrex - acn)
