Argentineans Reject European Interference in Cuban Affairs
CUBA, March 24, 2010.- Young Argentineans who graduated from the Havana-based Latin American School of Medicine issued a statement in Buenos Aires on Tuesday rejecting the European Parliament’s interference in Cuba’s domestic affairs.
“We, who had the opportunity of living in Cuba and learning about their history, know their need to protect their people from terrorist actions,” the text reads.
The statement condemns an ongoing anti-Cuba campaign orchestrated by powerful media outlets mainly in Europe and the United States.
The signatories of the document belong to the group ‘Propuesta Tatú’, war name of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in Congo.
The Argentinean doctors expressed in the letter their commitment to the defense of the Cuban Revolution and thanked the Caribbean island for giving the opportunity to other Argentinean youths to study in Cuba.
They also demanded the immediate release of five Cuban antiterrorists who remain unjustly imprisoned in the United States and the end of Washington’s almost 50-year-old blockade of the island. (Cubaminrex-Cuban News Agency)
