Montevideo Hopeful Decries Attacks against Cuba    
  
URUGUAY, Apr 6, 2010. -  People''s Assembly (AP) candidate to Montevideo city council, Eduardo Rubio, condemned on Tuesday the new media campaign against Cuba, "clearly orchestrated by US imperialism."

"We have to defend Cuba against a very mean, obvious campaign," Rubio told Prensa Latina.

The AP leader said that "this is a direct imperialist attack against Cuba, but do not look the other way, this is not only against Cuba, but also against Venezuela, Bolivia and all revolutionary governments."

Rubio recalled that through the years, successive US governments have dreamed of terminating the Cuban Revolution and he highlighted that the Island does not pose a military threat or any other risk to US national security.

"The great danger Cuba means for the United States is its example to the rest of Latin America," he said. (Cubaminrex - Prensa Latina)
