Solidarity Message from the Dominica Labour Party to the Communist Party of Cuba on the Occasion of its Sixth Congress.

The Dominica Labour Party extends warm and fraternal greetings to the President and members of the Communist Party of Cuba on the occasion of your party congress and the 50th Anniversary of the victory of the valiant Cuban people over the anti-revolutionary invasion of the motherland at the Bay of Pigs.  

The DLP as well as the Government and People of the Commonwealth of Dominica for a long time have had a close friendship and camaraderie.

Our two countries have stood in solidarity on many regional and international issues which have resulted in the mutual benefit of both island states. The Great Communist Party of Cuba has led the Republic since the mid 1960’s with Comandante Fidel Castro building a nation with a vision that has transcended major international upheavals and ideologies.

The Dominica Labour Party salutes the Leadership of President Raul Castro and his efforts at fostering greater regional integration and modernization of the Cuban economy.

We look forward to the continued development of cooperative and friendly relations between our two countries and extend best wishes for a successful congress.

May the Communist Party of Cuba acquire greater achievements!

May Cuba and its great people enjoy good health and prosperity!

May the good relations between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Dominica Labour Party grow deeper and stronger!
