Cuba to Hold Partial Elections in April

Cuba, Jan 5. - The partial elections to appoint delegates to the Municipal Assemblies of the People’s Power will take place in Cuba on April 25, 2010.

The Cuban Council of State issued the call today and it was published in the Granma and Juventud Rebelde newspapers.

The newspapers announced as well that second-round elections for those districts in which none of the candidates obtain more than 50 percent of valid votes will be held on May 2. ( cubaminrex - acn)
