Johana Simon, a Star in Madrid

CUBA, January 20TH, 2011.- The Cuban soprano Johana Simon was given an ovation by the public in Spain, for playing the female lead in the opera Rigoletto Giuseppe Verdi in this city.

The presentation took place in the context of the opera season of the Teatro de Madrid, to which she was invited to perform with the Lyric Studio Company and the Mediterranean Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Sergio Khulmanm. Along with Simon, who played the character of Gilda, the Mexican baritone Carlos Andrade, in the character of Rigoletto was also praised. (Cubaminrex-Granma)
