Tourism in Cuba on the Rise.

CUBA, 22th, December 2010.- The number of tourists arriving in Cuba is on the rise; so far, more than 2.4 million foreigners have arrived to Cuba, which is a figure slightly superior to the similar period in 2009.

Commercial manager of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, José Manuel Bisbe, pointed out that the largest number of tourists come from Canada, followed by Italy, Germany, Spain, France and Mexico.

Bisbe also said that, for 2011, the Cuban Ministry of Tourism intends to exceed the figure of 2.5 million visitors and focus on the maximum use of the country’s lodging capacity, the construction of new hotels, and the revival of cruiser tourism. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
