CUBA, May 17, 2011.- The National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) have adopted a strategy to contribute to the implementation of the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Communist Party and the Revolution.
The program, agreed to at a recent meeting of the ANEC National Committee, states the actions to be undertaken by its members, particularly aimed at preparing and re-qualifying leaders and boosting the economic education of the workers.
With the experience of the past few years as reference, the ANEC will support the joint activity of the ministries of Finance and Prices, and Economy and Planning with regards to the reduction of the number of budgeted centers in order to save material and financial resources. The organization will continue to prepare the presidents of local governments and district delegates on economic subjects, and in the drawing up and implementation of Local Development Initiatives in all the different territories.
Significant is the support by ANEC members and base organizations for the Cuban Workers Federation and the unions in their meetings with the workers, where they will periodically address the fulfillment of economic plans and the use of their budgets, as well as the rigorous enforcement, in all work centers, of the Internal Control System, established by Resolution 60, passed by the Comptroller General of the Republic.
ANEC president, Roberto Verrier, stressed: "contributing our determined effort, consistent with the implementation of the Guidelines, is the most important task of the organization in this historic moment, and throughout its history." (Cubaminrex-Granma)
