Two Cubans among the world's most outstanding experts in the field of vaccine production

CUBA, May 13, 2010. Doctors Luis Herrera Martinez, director of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (IGBC) and Gerardo Guillén Nieto, director of Biomedical Research of the prestigious institution, appear in the selection of top industrial experts in vaccine production worldwide.

According to information provided by CITMA sources, the list of 18 Global Top Industry Experts has just been drawn up in the context of preparations for the IV International Vaccine Congress Asia 2010, to be held from 8 to 11 June in Singapore.

Both Cuban specialists are the only ones that do not come from highly developed countries, the rest is made up of representatives of Sweden, the United States, Denmark, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Canada and Austria. (RHC-Granma)
