Audit Control in Cuba
CUBA, April 25th, 2011.- The 6th National Audit of Cuba started on Monday with the participation of more than 3 thousand auditors, and will last until May 31st. Alina Vicente Gaínza, Deputy Comptroller of the Republic, stated that this economic process will take place in about 750 entities from the Cuban business sector, and more than one hundred professors and students from the Finances and Accountability Faculty of the University of Havana will participate. The samples to be analyzed include the operations carried out in the first quarter of this year, and if necessary, the ones from other periods in the business companies that were not audited in the last semester of 2010 and in 2011. A press release informed that the auditors will examine 10 issues related to business and budgeted activities, and to the bank system. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
