Cuban People to Participate in Popular Parade on April 16 Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Victory of Girón.

CUBA, March 17, 2011.- Enthusiasm, fighting spirit and discipline, will distinguish the popular parade scheduled for April 16 at Havana’s Revolution Square “Jose Marti”.

Chaired by Esteban Lazo, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party, representatives of political and mass organizations met at the Lazaro Peña Theater to coordinate, check, clarify and join forces towards the forthcoming event.

Lazo urged every Cuban patriot, the youngsters in particular, to reflect on the significance of that date when half-century ago our people proclaimed the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution and chanted victory over its enemies at Playa Giron.

”Let’s demonstrate that there’s still patriotism, firmness and principles in Cuba, and a youth strongly convinced of its ideals just like those who fought for victory in Giron”, added the also Vice President of the State Council. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
