Guard of Honor Dedicated to Late Cuban Heroine Vilma Espín.

CUBA, June 18, 2011.- Commemorating the 4th anniversary of Vilma Espín’s death, every June 18th a guard of honor will stand at the Mausoleum for the Martyrs and heroes of the 2nd Frank País García East Front.

Students from the Santiago de Cuba based Camilo Cienfuegos higher military school were selected for the activity.

The late revolutionary fighter dedicated most of her life to defending women’s social rights and creating new ways of increasing their training and independence. She set up the Federation of Cuban Women. (Cubaminrex-ACN)
