CUBA, May 12, 2011.- Cuban education authorities began a national seminar on Thursday to prepare for the 2011-2012 school year.
The three-day meeting at the Eduardo Garcia Delgado Art Instructors School brings together the principals of teachers’ colleges, provincial and municipal authorities, department heads, and deputy education ministers.
Their agenda includes an analysis of teacher training and continuing education, continuing studies for 9th grade graduates, and the teaching process.
The seminar will also discuss the Spanish language education program and the functioning of what are known as mixed-level schools.
