CUBA, March 8, 2009. Over 900 delegates attending the 8th Congress of the Cuban Women Federation (FMC) today resumed their debates on crucial issues during Sunday's morning session, which is being presided over by Cuba's First Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura. During the opening session today, International Women's Day, FMC General Secretary Yolanda Ferrer conveyed the greetings and congratulations by Cuban President Raul Castro Ruz to the plenary meeting. In a warm environment at Havana's Conventions Center, participants are discussing important issues of their agenda, like the role played by Cuban women in the country's economy.
