
Cuba´s labor as President of UN Disarmament Conference Highlighted
GENEVA, September 19, 2011.- With the adoption of the report about the work of the Disarmament Conference during 2011, Cuba ended its presidency of said multilateral organization.
Cuban Permanent Representative in Geneva, Ambassador Rodolfo Reyes Rodriguez, gave thanks on behalf of Cuba, to the numerous congratulations to the effective labor of Cuba.
Cuba worked intensively during its presidency, estimulated by the necessity to strengthen the labor of that forum.
In year 2011, the Conference was presided over by Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, North Korea and Cuba. As last president of the organ, the Ambassador Rodolfo Reyes will have the responsibility to present the Conference report to the United Nations General Assembly. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Geneva)
