
UNESCO´s Deputy Director General to Visit Cuba
HAVANA, January 23, 2012.- Qian Tang, Deputy Director General of UNESCO for the Education, will visit our country invited by the Ministry of Higher Education to participate at the University 2012 Congress.
As part of the event, Tang will offer a conference next February 16, he will also hold meetings with the Ministers of Education, Ena Elsa Velásquez, and Higher Education, Miguel Díaz Canel, and will visit schools associated to UNESCO and the University of Havana.
Qian Tang, of Chinese origin, has been official from UNESCO Since 1993. He was appointed Deputy Director General by Director General, Irina Bokova, in 2010. This will be his first visit to Cuba. (Cubaminrex)
