Homage to José Martí at his House in Guatemala.

CUBA, January 26th, 2011.- The house where Cuban national heroe, José Martí, briefly lived during his stay in Guatemala, is the sight of an homage for the 158th anniversary of his birth.

The participants will place a floral wreath in honor of Martí´s presence in Guatemala as a teacher at the University of San Carlos.

Cuban students will sing the national anthem for representatives of the Cuban embassy in Guatemala and members of the medical brigade present in that country, and will also present written works of Martí.

An art exposition featuring Martí will also be inaugurated as part of the homage. (Cubaminrex - RHC)
