Jose Marti Project Presented at UNESCO

Paris, September 5, 2009. University of Guadalajara Doctor Mario Alberto Najera, from Mexico introduced the idea of an International Network of Academic Forums on Jose Marti at UNESCO.

In a meeting with Pierre Sane, assistant director general for UNESCO's Social Sciences and Humanities Department, professor Najera gave detailed information on how this project works.

The Mexican scholar presented the idea of the Academic Forum on Cuba's National Hero Jose Marti, aimed at providing room for academic discussion on contemporary Latin American affairs, while also encouraging the study and spreading of Jose Marti's ideas and work. (Cubaminrex- RHC)
