Latin American Changes resulted in OAS Decision
EL SALVADOR, June 8, 2009. The decision of the Organization of American States (OAS) revoking the expulsión of Cuba from that organization, was a result of changes in the geopolitics of Latin America, said today the Salvadorian newspaper Col Latino.
An editorial of this publication said also that Latin Americans, above all the countries with leftist governments, lost the fear to speak out and demand respect to their sovereignty, as Cuba has done all these years.
It added that the countries of the región, each one from its reality, join up the voices claiming for real Independence, that is, their right to be sovereign peoples.
First it was the ALBA (integration initiative Bolivarian Alternative for our America)
Nations and then the rest and Cuba, as always putting dignity before all other things, thanked the gesture of the continent but has rejected once and again, to return to the OAS, stressed the newspaper.
The expulsión of Cuba from the OAS was ordered by the United States and suipported by submissive and pro-US presidents in 1962, most of them military who assumed power through shameful coups, said the daily.
For Col Latino, now it only rests to eliminate the blockade on Cuba, because it is the most important thing, not only for the Cuban people, but to all in Latin America. (Cubaminrex- PL)
