Cuban Donation Arrives in Colombia.       

COLOMBIA, March 15, 2011.-  Some 17 tons of aid from Cuba including medications and sanitation materials arrived in Colombia to help soothe the damages caused by a severe winter.

  Once the cargo clears customs procedure, Ambassador Ivan Mora will officially handle the donation to First Lady Maria Clemencia Rodriguez.

Colombia's strong winter left the worst environmental, economic and social toll ever in recent history.

The rains claimed more than 300 lives and over two million victims, and devastated near 4,000 houses, over 1.3 million hectares of arable land and cattle forage. (Cubaminrex-PL)
