Farewell To Sir Allan Louisy.
SAINT LUCIA, 23 March, 2011.– The Embassy of Cuba in Saint Lucia, as part of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited in the sister Caribbean isle, participated in official ceremonies held to say the final goodbye to their beloved son of Laborie, Sir Allan Louisy. Born in 1916, Allan Louisy, a Lawyer by profession, became the first ever elected Head of Government in Saint Lucia’s history as an independent country. The Ceremony to celebrate the life of Allan Louisy took place at the Church in his native village of Laborie and counted on the presence of the Governor General on the island, Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, the main figures of Government, led by the Prime Minister Stephenson King, as well as Parliamentarians and other members of the Labour Party, including their Leader, Dr. Kenny Anthony.
