HAITI , September 15, 2007.- Members from Haitian social organizations held a sit-in in front of the US embassy in this capital, demanding the release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in that nation, it was reported .
Associations of teachers, professionals and former students in Cuba started Wednesday a drive of solidarity for a month, which was covered by this Caribbean country's press.
A document published by organizers of the campaign reports on arbitrarinesses of the trial against Rene Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labanino, Fernando Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez.
Dozens of people rallied in front of that embassy carrying a banner with the image of the five Cubans and addressed the violation of human rights by the Washington in denying visas to their relatives.
The country will carry out round table discussions and screen documentaries until mid October with details of the case.
