Wives of Cuban Five in Spain

SPAIN, March 12, 2008.- The wives of two of the five Cuban political prisoners incarcerated in the US arrived to Spain to inform on the case of their husbands in US prisons.

Adriana Perez and Olga Salanueva, wives of Gerardo Hernandez and Rene Gonzalez talked about the reality of their husbands as well as of Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Ramon Labañino.

They talked in Madrid to attorneys and members of the solidarity with Cuba groups and representatives of Committees for the Release of the Cuban Five.

Adriana and Olga will participate in an activity in support of the Cuban Five in the city of Toledo.
Both wives arrived to Madrid after holding talks in Geneva with UN officials dedicated to issues like violence against women, torture, health and arbitrary detentions.

Adriana and Olga also visited Bern, where they participated in a solidarity with the Cuban Five meeting and met with representatives of the Swiss Labor Party. (Cubaminrex-RHC).
