Australians Decry Latest US Aggressions Against Cuba
CUBA, May 22, 2008. In Australia, a protest took place in the city of Perth against the US interference actions in Cuba referring in particular to Washington's links with small counterrevolutionary groups on the island.
According to a report by the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association a protest rally was held on Wednesdays evening, which also commemorated the 113th anniversary of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, on May 19, reports Prensa Latina.
The occasion served to express the rejection of the speech recently delivered by American President George W. Bush against Cuban sovereignty, said sources from the organization.
Participants were briefed on the evidence that shows the role of the American diplomats with Washington's Interest Section in Havana as intermediaries for money transfers between terrorists in the US and Cuban mercenaries. Such facts were labelled as despicable actions against a sovereign and independent nation like Cuba. (Cubaminrex-ACN)
