Massive solidarity rally with Cuba in Kollam, Kerala
Trivandrum, May 28. As part of the program of solidarity with Cuba organized by the India Society of Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF) in Kerala, India, the Cuban Ambassador visited the important city of Kollam, several hours of Trivandrum, the capital of the state.
In this district the hosts organized a massive rally of solidarity with Cuba that had the Minister of Forest´s presence, Binoy Wiswam, the Secretary of Communist Indian Party in the District Prakash Babu and the Mayor, N. Padmalochanan, as well as diverse personalities of the political and cultural life of the city.
In the various interventions, the speakers, giving samples of knowledge of the Cuban reality and of their history, references were reiterated Fidel and Che and to the example of Cuba in Latin America.
The Cuban Ambassador referred extensively to the implications of the economic blockade that already lasts almost half a century, as well as to the youth of the Revolution that begins his second half century full of optimism and popular support from the new generations.
He referred in detail to the case of the Five Heroes whose liberation proclaim presided over the activity and the necessity of increasing the pressure to reach its liberation.
The activity concluded with a beautiful cultural presentation of an Indian classic dance called “Bharatnatyam" carried out by an excellent child artist.
