Pastors for Peace Raise Voices Against the US Blockade

CUBA, July 6, 2010.- The 21st Cuba-US Friendship Convoy, sponsored by the US Pastors for Peace interreligious foundation, has begun its annual journey in Canada and the US in an attempt to call for an end to the economic blockade against Cuba.

Against all those laws preventing US citizens travelling to Cuba, the Pastors for Peace will visit some Canadian cities such as Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, Regina, Kingston, Winnipeg, Toronto and in British Columbia.

Later, they will travel through the US via Washington, Minnesota, North Dakota, Massachusetts, Oregon and many other states. There, they will express their rejection against the US blockade and will defend their right to travel freely wherever they want.

In addition, at every stop on the route they will inform the audiences about the injustice toward the five Cubans held in US prisons.

The 21st Convoy is devoted to children and the assistance they receive in Cuba. So, all donations will be sent to them and as an aid to overcome the situation caused by hurricanes. (Cubaminrex – Granma)
