Second International Festival of Poetry of Resistance held in Toronto.

CANADA, September 20, 2010. - Since September 16, the second Festival of Poetry of Resistance, honoring the Cuban Five, is taking place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

With poetry and music as the axis, the event is one of reflection for world peace, against injustice and in favor of solidarity. In the second Festival, as well as the first held in Toronto in 2009, several poets from various latitudes and cultures, are contributing to the efforts for the immediate release of the Cuban Five and against the war, greed, violence, racism and discrimination.

 In the event, the General Consul of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Soberon, gave a presentation on the need to fight harder than ever for the immediate release of the Five and about Cuba's contribution to solidarity, peace and justice. Audiovisual materials were also presented on the terrorist actions and media campaigns of which the people of Cuba has been a victim for over fifty years.
