Solidarity Message from the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association congratulates on this the 52nd anniversary of the Cuban revolution and reiterates its continued support to Cuba.

On the occasion of the Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution the  Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association   sent this message to the Embassy of Cuba in Kingston:
Dear Ambassador,

Let me extend on behalf of the national solidarity movement in Jamaica, our most profound congratulations on this the 52nd anniversary of the Cuban revolution. The Cuban revolution stands firm in our hearts and minds and this important milestone was not attained by sudden flight as we have witnessed your struggles over the years.

We have seen and given our fullest praises to the many unsung heroes and heroines of Cuba who have given their all to the struggle of their brothers and sisters across the globe for a better humanity. We salute the hand of kindness and friendship through education and medical care and other areas of cooperation that you have extended to us here in Jamaica.

How can we forget the act of moulding and shaping the lives of our people who have been trained to be better professionals in your homeland and the fact that you continue to do so to over 250 students currently, while being buffeted by difficult economic conditions.

How can we forget the Miracle Eye program which has given sight to many poor in our country. In solidarity we stand with you as our friends, brothers and sisters.

We in the solidarity movement in Jamaica will continue to speak from the streets and the roofs about the injustice that is being meted out to our 5 Cuban brothers in the prisons of the United States of America. We will continue to join the international campaign for their freedom until it is achieved.

Yes we know that the struggle of the Cuban revolution continues and yes we will stand in every way we can in every place we can until the criminal economic blockade and other sanctions imposed on our sister nation are lifted.

Onward to victory
