Message on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Victory at Playa Giron.

SEYCHELLES, 15th April 2011.- On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the first victory of the Cuban people over US imperialism at Playa Giron (Bay of Pigs), on 19th April, the Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association (SECUFA) extends warm greetings and salutes the Cuban Revolution for this important and historic achievement, a permanent symbol of Cuban resistance against US aggression. Because of this victory, which defined the future course of the Cuban Revolution, our country, the Republic of Seychelles, and Cuba have enjoyed good relations and cooperation in different areas, mainly in medicine, agriculture, sports and education.

It is fitting that the 50th anniversary of the victory of Playa Giron is being marked with the VI Communist Party Congress, set to reaffirm the socialist character of the revolution. SECUFA extends to the Cuban people its highest consideration of solidarity, friendship and regards. Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
