Dominicans Send Letter Extolling Cuban Friendship Institute.
CUBA, January 6th, 2011.- Dominican friends of Cuba sent a letter to the Havana-based Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) extolling its work in defense of the Cuban Revolution.
According to Prensa Latina news agency, the letter highlights the support ICAP has offered to many peoples around the world, in particular to Latin American and Caribbean nations.
It also calls for strengthening the international solidarity movement with Cuba; for the lifting of the US economic, financial and economic blockade against the Island; and for the immediate release of five Cuban antiterrorists unjustly imprisoned in the US since 1998.
ICAP was born as an initiative by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on December 30, 1960, to spread the truth about Cuba. Today, there are more than 2,000 associations of friendship with Cuba all over the world thanks to the efforts of this institution. (Cubaminrex-Cuban News Agency)
