Cuban official testifies in trial of ex-CIA thug Luis Posada Carriles
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, February 24th, 2011.- A Cuban medical examiner is scheduled to testify Thursday in the state trial against terrorist and former CIA agent Luis Posada Carriles, accused of lying on immigration hearings in 2005.
Ileana Vizcaíno Dime traveled to El Paso to testify about the autopsy of an Italian tourist who was killed in 1997 after a bomb exploded in the hotel he was staying in, terrorist act later claimed by Posada in an interview with The New York Times in 1998.
In recent conversations with The Associated Press, Posada didn’t dispute the prosecutors' version of how he entered US territory, nor answer direct questions regarding the bombing of the Cuban hotels.
The criminal was detained in immigration facilities near El Paso in 2007, but was released and has since then lived freely in Miami. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
