General Consulates, Consulates and Consular Sections are Offices of the Cuban State Foreign Service in charge of assisting all Cuban residents abroad or traveling temporarily, as well as to advise and assist foreigners that request any consular service.

Among the consular services are:

    Passport application and its extensions

    Application and/or legalization of documents or certifications (of marriage, divorce, death,
    criminal records, study), issued in the national territory or abroad.

    Extensions of Travel Abroad Permission (PVE)

    Application for Entrance to Cuba Permission (PE) and Traveling Validity (VV)

    Making and delivering of Invitation Letters

    Acts to be registered in the Registry Office (births, marriages and deaths)

    Legal matters: Proxies, Affidavits.

    Whereabouts searching and others.

Useful Tips for Cubans abroad:

  - if you will reside abroad permanently you should contact the Consular Office closer to your home     for your free of charge registration and to ensure the service you need.

  - You should also contact with the Cuban Consulate if you are traveling through an Invitation Letter     with a Travel Abroad Permission (PVE), for Official Mission (AO) or work hiring, to ensure your     trouble-free return to Cuba, within the term authorized by the Immigration and Alien Status     Division, in accordance with the purpose of your travel.
