GENEVA, February 28, 2008.- Cuba´s Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque is expected to arrive in Geneva on Friday to meet with top United Nations officials and deliver a speech at UN Council on Human Rights. Cuban ambassador to Geneva-based UN bodies, Juan Antonio Fernandez, told Prensa Latina that Perez Roque is expected to meet with the Director General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Sergei Ordzhonikidze, and with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour. The head of the Cuban diplomacy will also chair a meeting on the work done by the Non-Aligned Movement. Cuba will have the opportunity to inform UN diplomats residing in Geneva about the Non-Aligned Movement´s work and projects. Perez Roque is to lead the Cuban delegation at the high level segment of the 7th Session of the Council on Human Rights to be held at Geneva´s Palais de Nations beginning on Monday.(Cubaminrex-PL). |
